Agentic AI for Manchu OCR (BnF Data Lab, Paris), 16 April 2026

Professor Michael Yan Hon Chung will present his recent work on “Agentic AI for Manchu OCR” at the BnF Data Lab (Bibliothèque nationale de France) on 16 April 2026. The talk introduces an agentic AI workflow that combines a fine-tuned vision–language model (VLM) for Manchu text recognition with large language models for automated post-correction. By integrating OCR and AI-assisted review, the project aims to improve transcription accuracy and reduce manual verification in large-scale digitization of historical sources.
