General Nie Rongzhen and Japanese orphan Mihoko = 聶榮臻將軍與日本孤兒美穗子

During the Hundred Regiments Campaign, the Eighth Route Army troops rescued two Japanese girls, whose parents were killed in the Jingxing Mine Battle. One of them was Mihoko. Nie wrote a personal letter to the enemy commander and assigned people to carry the girls back to the Japanese side.
八路軍在百團大戰攻佔井陘礦時,在戰火中救出被日軍遺棄的日本小姑娘美穗子。聶榮臻將軍照顧她,並寫信給日軍片山旅團,囑將小姑娘轉交她的親人,並派人將她送到日本軍營。
