This website is a Digital Humanities project by the HKUST Digital Humanities Initiative (Project Homepage: https://digitalhumanities.hkust.edu.hk/sanbao-zhenghe-voyages). This webpage utilized two layers of maps, including a modern map and an old map from the Ming Dynasty. Markers were used on these maps to indicate the countries mentioned in the novel《三寶太監西洋記》. However, it should be noted that the markers may not be accurately positioned due to the differences in scaling between the old map and the modern map.

While the Project Team has made best efforts to provide an informative visualization, it is important to understand that the map visualization is primarily intended to offer a glimpse into the possible use of digital humanities methods and to showcase the potential of such techniques. The map may not be fully accurate. For scholarly purposes, it is recommended that users conduct their own research and verify the information independently.
